What is known as Batalha's unfinished chapel is really impressive. You get an idea of the size from Pete and 'the cleaning lady'. The intricately carved stonework and ornate decorative features as well as the stained glass windows make it truly beutiful. Much of it is open to the sky ie it is unfinished.
